To get in touch with my Filipino heritage, I’m uploading a picture of this dessert that my mom made. This is Palitaw, a Filipino dessert which is a small, flat, sweet rice cake made from glutinous rice flour mixed with water to form a ‘batter’, shaped and cooked in boiling water. Once cooked, the rice cake is then dipped in grated fresh coconut, toasted sesame seeds and sugar.
I don’t have a recipe for it, but once you do find a recipe, you can say that it’s quite easy to make. Enjoy the picture though :)
